I build software for field service businesses, and I built it from inside one. Most weeks that means the usual mix: crews on jobs, adjusters asking for documentation we'd better have, referral partners to keep happy, and invoices that don't pay themselves.
ServiceReady exists because the software we could buy didn't match the business we actually run. Field service platforms handle the job fine — scheduling, dispatch, invoicing — but the moment an insurance claim enters the picture, or a referral partner sends you work and expects to know what happened to it, you're back to spreadsheets and camera rolls. We built WORKFORCE™ as the system our own crews use every day, then made it available to other trades businesses.
Everything on this blog comes from operating, not from a content calendar. If I write about adjuster documentation or referral economics, it's because we deal with both every week.
How these get made: I use AI tools for research and drafting help, the way I'd use any other tool in the shop. Every number in a post traces back to a named source. Every claim about how the trade actually works gets checked against how we actually run jobs, not how a case study says they should. Nothing goes up without me reading it and signing off on it first. If you catch something wrong, tell me — through the contact page — and I'll fix it.
